Stephen F. Timmins, 67 of Weymouth passed away at the South Shore Health Care Center in Rockland after a long battle with Graft VS. Host Disease on Monday, November 6, 2017. Stephen was born and raised in West Roxbury and was educated in Boston Schools. After high school Stephen went on to receive his Associates Degree. He joined the Army and did two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star. Stephen was employed by the MBTA as a bus driver for many years prior to his retirement. He was a life member of the DAV, Silver Star Chapter in West Roxbury and a member of Post 1578 Dorchester VFW. Stephen loved boating and fishing. Stephen was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife Bernadette M. (O’Leary) Timmins. He is the devoted and much loved father of Michael Timmins married to Amy of Abington, Arlene Saia married to John of West Roxbury and Lauren Timmins of Weymouth. He is the proud grandfather of 8. He is survived by a brother, Joseph Timmins of Nevada and three sisters, Marie Kiff of Plainville, Rita Timmins of Merrimack, MA and Eileen Timmins-Andrews of Florida. He was the brother of the late Paul Timmins formerly of Florida. Visiting hours for Stephen will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, MA on Thursday November 9th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Friday November 10th at 10:00am to be followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Albert the Great Church, 1130 Washington Street, Weymouth, at 11:00a.m. Burial will follow at Holyhood Cemetery in Brookline.
