I just today heard of the passing of Paul and I cannot express the shock and sadness of this news. I worked with Paul at his law firm for over 25 years and the law firm being small in size, we were a lot like a family. My very deepest condolences Helene, you and your children will all be in my prayers.

Helene,
Our whole family was saddened to hear of Paul's passing. Cathy and I remember spending spring days at Watson Park with him as he coached our son in Baseball.. He always had a kind word and a big smile that will always be in our memories. Your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.

My deepest condolences to Paul's family. Paul and I served on the Community Preservation Commission together. We had some great conversations, and he was always so well prepared that one would feel he had the answer to all questions. He was a joy to work with and will be very sadly missed.

I am truly sorry for the loss and pain that Helene and the Machado family and friends are feeling because of losing Paul recently in death. Most of us have had to endure the sorrow of losing a loved one in death. What helped me the most was prayer and faith in God's promises like found here at 1 Corinthians 15: 26 and it tells us: "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises, including the resurrection. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it."For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to contact me if you wish at my email address; myranj@centurytel.net

Helene -
I am so sorry for your loss Paul was/is a great great person and he will be truly missed.
I remember how we would set up the soccer fields on Saturday mornings and no matter how lousy or good the weather was he always had a funny and entertaining story that would bring a laugh and smile to all our faces. He is and was one of the best guys ever. Although it has been years since we have seen each other we became friends again on facebook and I felt that same feeling of friendship, that is how Paul made everyone feel like an old friend.
Please know he and you and the kids are in my thoughts and prayers.
RIP Paul.
