Mary Regina (Boelke) Dickson, at 74 years of age, Mary passed away after a brief illness at South Shore Hospital surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 16, 2017. She was born in Flushing, NY where she graduated from a secretarial school. Mary was an office manager for Trigen Boston Thermal Energy Corp. for many years, retiring 15 years ago. She enjoyed sailing on the Victory Chimes, a Windjammer Schooner out of Rockland, Maine. She also enjoyed reading (particularly about history), gardening and researching her family’s history. Mary was the loving mother of Doris J. Dickson and her partner Jeffrey Hebblethwaite of Norwood and Marjorie L. Vaudreuil and her husband Mark of Shirley. She was the caring grandmother of Alexander Durkee of San Francisco, formerly of Acton, Massachusetts. Mary was the sister of Francis Boelke married to Louise of Sayville, New York. She was the sister of the late John Boelke formerly of New York. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Tuesday, March 21st from 4-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 22nd at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree at 10:30am. All those attending mass are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be private. Memorial donations in Mary’s memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
