NORTH EASTON- Joan P. (Poleski) Buker, 69 years of age, passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton on Sunday, September 25, 2016 after a year long illness. Joan was born in Milton and was a graduate of Milton High School. For many years, she had worked for the Gately, Morgan, and Gilfoyle Insurance Company in Randolph where she had worked as an agent. Joan enjoyed hunting with her husband and loved to travel. She especially enjoyed her trip to Africa. The place closest to her heart was her home in Sweden, Maine on the lake where she enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her friends and family. Joan loved life and was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 25 years Howard C. Buker of North Easton and her two sisters Barbara Shute of South Hadley and Beatrice Hopkins of Mansfield. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Thursday, September 29th from 4-7pm. There will be a Funeral Service held at the funeral home on Friday, September 30th at 11:00am. Pastor Robert Killeffer of the First Baptist Church in Braintree will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Sweden, Maine.
