Braintree- Audrey (Furst) Dugmore, after a period of declining health, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2016. Audrey spent almost all of her 87 years living in Braintree. She was a 1946 graduate of Braintree High School.  Early in her working years she was employed by Pittsburg Plate Glass Co. and The Town of Braintree tax collector’s office. Later on she worked for Howard Johnsons, MA Respiratory Hospital and Braintree Schools in their offices.  Audrey and Donald “Dug” married in 1951 and enjoyed 58 years together before Dugs passing in 2009.  Together they were lifetime members of The American Ex-Prisoners of War Organization. Audrey loved family vacations on Lake Winnipesaukee and later in life their trips to St. Augustine, Florida. Audrey served on many church committees and volunteered for years at the church run consignment center.  Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald, her parents Ida and Arne Furst and her brother Willard Furst. Audrey is survived by her children Gail Crispin married to David Crispin of Braintree, Bruce Dugmore married to Pamela Dugmore of California and grandchildren Brian Winnett married to Robin Winnett, Brendon Winnett, and Owen and Eric Dugmore.  She is also survived by her brother David Furst married to Barbara Furst of CT and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home at 516 Washington Street in Braintree Tuesday September 13th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at South Congregational Church at 1075 Washington Street in Braintree on Wednesday Sept 14th at 10:30 AM followed by interment in the veteran’s section of Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.  If so desired, in Audrey’s memory, donations may be made to South Congregational Church Missions 1075 Washington Street Braintree, MA 02184 or American Ex-Prisoners of War 3201 East Pioneer Parkway, Suite 40, Arlington, TX 76010
