QUINCY- Myrna June (Hall) Jennings, 87 years of age, passed away at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth on Tuesday, September 27, 2016. June was born in Everett and raised in South Boston. She was a graduate of South Boston High Class of 1946. She had worked as a check processor for the Bank of Boston for many years. She moved to Quincy in 1979. She was an extremely active member of the South Baptist Church in South Boston where she has been a lifelong member. She sang in the choir and was a member of the Ladies Union as well as a Sunday school teacher. She taught arts and crafts with the Trailblazers youth group. June enjoyed knitting for her children and grandchildren and her many friends. She also enjoyed puzzles. She was the wife of the late Gaylord L. Jennings to whom she had been married to for 61 years prior to his death in 2012. She is survived by her five children; Richard A. Jennings married to Billie (Stinson) of Georgetown, KY, Paul E. Jennings married to Bettyann (Graves) of Plymouth, Linda J. Haugh married to James of Braintree, and Brian T. Jennings of Quincy and James W. Jennings of Dallas, TX. She is the proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She is the sister of William Hall of Holbrook, Dorothy Lowe of Connecticut, and Barbara Anastasia of Quincy. June is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Friday, September 30th from 4-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 1st at 10:00am. The Reverend Patricia Langevin, Pastor of the South Baptist Church in South Boston, will officiate. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
