BRAINTREE- Jessie K. (Howard) Macdonald, 90 years of age, passed away at the Alliance Healthcare on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. She was born in Lincoln Park, Michigan. She was a graduate of Flat Rock High School. She met her husband at the Air Force Base outside of Detroit where they both worked. Jessie married her late husband Kenneth Scott Macdonald in 1946. They had been married for 65 years prior to his death in 2011. Jessie was a homemaker where she lived in both Michigan and Texas while her husband was in the Air Force. She then moved to Braintree in 1957. When Jessie was in her 50s, she returned to school at the Blue Hills Regional Technical School in their Medical Assistant Program and became a medical secretary for the director of the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton from which she retired in 1992. Jessie was extremely devoted to her family. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth Scott Macdonald. Jessie was the devoted and loving mother of Kenneth S. Macdonald Jr. of Davie, FL, Bruce H. Macdonald married to Barbara of Westwood, Ruth E. Ford married to Jerry of Holbrook, and Sandra A. Saluti married to Al of Braintree. She was the adored grandmother of Tripper, Brian, Brittany, Jacqui, Alison, Stephen, Jessica, Katelyn, and Katy. She is also the loving great-grandmother of Nikki, Cordelia, Maretta, and Eleanor. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Saturday, August 13th from 2-5pm. There will be a Funeral Service at the funeral home at 5pm. Burial will be private. Memorial Donations in Jessie’s memory may be sent to the Union Congregational Church of Weymouth and Braintree, 74 Commercial Street, Braintree MA 02184.
