WEYMOUTH- Clifford S. Bollen Sr. of Weymouth, at 83, died Saturday at Colonial Nursing Home in Weymouth.  He was a machinist with Union Gear and Sprockett on Penn Street in Quincy for 32 years before retiring in 1995.  He was born in Quincy and attended school in the Quincy School System. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his children and grandchildren after a period of declining health. He was an avid Red Sox fan, when the Red Sox were losing he would wear his green Red Sox hat, and when they were winning he would wear his Blue Red Sox cap. Husband of the late Patricia Tatreau-Bollen. And also the former husband and close friend Marilyn (Townson) Bollen of Weymouth. Clifford had 4 children, Clifford S. Jr (Buddy) of Randolph, Daniel E. of Weymouth, and Daniels ex-wife Margaret (Doran) Bollen of Whitman, Patricia A. of Weymouth, and Sherry L. also of Weymouth. Clifford is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Kelli McCarthy of Whitman and her spouse Kevin McCarthy, Kaitlyn S, of Quincy, and Kenneth J, of Quincy, Kristin L. (McMahon) Nicholls of Weymouth and her spouse Christopher. He is survived by 3 great grandchildren, Patrick J. Donovan of Quincy, Keira P. McCarthy of Whitman, and Christian Nicholls of Weymouth. He is also survived by one foster sister Betty Michaud of Quincy. Clifford was predeceased by his siblings Marjorie G. formerly of Braintree, James W. Donald C. Robert J. and by his late parents John J. and Grace E. (McCharles) Bollen as well as many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Mortimer Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street Braintree on Thursday, August 4th from 4-8pm. There will be a graveside service at the Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree on Monday at 2pm.
