WEYMOUTH- Charlotte L. (Baker) Parmenter, 90 years of age, passed away at the South Shore Hospital on Saturday, October 1st 2016. She was wife of the late William A. Parmenter to whom she had been married to for 49 years prior to his death. She is the loving mother of Diane Montgomery married to Steven Montgomery of Rochester Hills, Michigan and Charlotte Jameson married to Rick Jameson of Mont Vernon, N.H. She was the devoted grandmother of Kristy Palmer (Mark) and Scott Montgomery (Adrienne) both of Michigan, and Melissa Lantiegene (Taylor) and Courtney Jameson both of New Hampshire. She was the great grandmother of Ayla Palmer of North Carolina, Makenna Palmer of Michigan, and Isabelle Lantiegene of New Hampshire. Charlotte resided in Weymouth for more than 50 years. She had been an employee of the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company in Boston before becoming an executive secretary for the Charles F. Murphy Insurance Company in Braintree. She was a graduate of the Jeremiah E. Burke High School in Dorchester. She was a member of the Wessagusset Chapter Order of Eastern Star for many years and a longtime advisor and mother advisor for the Wessagusset Rainbow Girls Assembly. She was an active member of Christ Church (Episcopal) in Quincy where she had been president of the Mother’s Club and Secretary of the Women’s Guild. She was an avid Red Sox fan and she enjoyed dancing, painting, knitting, crocheting, and reading. Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree on Thursday, October 6th from 4-8pm. There will be a Funeral Service in Christ Church, 12 Quincy Avenue, Quincy on Friday, October 7th at 11:00am. The Reverend Clifford Brown, Rector of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, South Weymouth.
