Yvonne Claire (Young) Wentworth of Braintree passed away peacefully surrounded by family
after a brief illness at the age of 90.
Yvonne was born in Saugus on March 28, 1933 to parents Louis and Anna Young. She met her
husband Bill when they were both employed by H.P. Hood in Charlestown.
A home maker and mother of 5 children Yvonne enjoyed vacations with her family and frequent
trips to Las Vegas with her husband. She also enjoyed knitting, bingo and time spent with
friends and neighbors in her close knit Braintree neighborhood.
Yvonne is predeceased by her husband William Robert Wentworth, their son Ralph Allen
Wentworth and her sister Patricia Cook of New Hampshire.
Yvonne is survived by her children William Robert Wentworth Jr. of Abington, Patricia Eveline
Buker of Braintree and her companion Walter Mitchell of Wrentham, Lawrence George
Wentworth and his wife Angela Conway of Hanover and Michael Glen Wentworth of Las Vegas
as well as her sister Louann Claffey of Texas.
She is also survived by her grand children Paul Buker of Braintree, Kerry Delcourt and her
husband Philip of Weymouth, William (Rob) Wentworth II and his fiance’ Catherine Connolly of
Abington, Timothy Wentworth and his wife Annie of Weymouth, Lawrence Wentworth and his
girlfriend Teresa Gassoway of Billerica and Nathan Wentworth and his fiance’ Maggie Hamilton
of Littleton Colorado as well as her great grand children Zoe Delcourt and Owen Delcourt of
Weymouth and Logan James Wentworth of Weymouth.
Visiting hours are Wednesday April 19th from 4-7 at Mortimer N. Peck Funeral Chapel at 516
Washington Street in Braintree.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
