Winnifred "Winnie" Hume Obituary

Born in Milton, MA, Winnifred Isla Hume (Carlisle), daughter of the late Amy (Astbury) and William Carlisle, is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Alvin R. Hume.  “Winnie,” as she was known, was the heart and soul of our family.  Her contagious laughter would light up any room. She showed us the true meaning of love, compassion, and resilience, as well as a mean right hook when playing Bid Whist with the Kitty.   Whether it had two legs or four, she welcomed all into her home with a warm smile and open arms. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who dedicated her life to the happiness and well-being of her family, always putting family first and ensuring that everyone felt loved and cared for.

She is survived by her children Wendy Lundell and her husband Robert of Hanson, MA; Richard Scott Hume and his wife Jules of Naples, FL; Lisa Good and her husband David of New Bern, NC; Linda Pascale and her husband Jeff of Aston, PA; as well as her grandchildren, Jessica Hume of Salem, CT; Richard Scott Hume Jr. and his wife Lindsay of Naples, Fl; Brandon Hume of Naples, FL; Jordan Hume of Naples, FL; Alexandra Serpa and her husband John of Buzzards Bay, MA; Kyle Duby of Ayden, NC; Cameron Pascale of Aston, PA; and her great-grand-children Arleigh, Charlee, and Isabelle Serpa of Buzzards Bay, MA; Payton and Avery Hume of Naples, FL; Riley and Logan Hume of Naples, FL; Harper Hume of Naples, FL; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering support will continue to inspire us all.

We will miss her dearly but find comfort in knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
