BRAINTREE - Virginia “Ginny” Caskins Rubino, age 72, passed away after a long illness. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Rubino. They were married for 48 happy years. She is survived by her sons Matthew of Braintree, Michael and daughter in law Jessica of Braintree, daughter Nicolle and son in law Michael Roche of Spencer. She was the loving grandmother of Dominic and Vincent, and caring aunt to many nephews. Ginny was a graduate of St. Gregory’s High School in Dorchester and Aquinas College in Milton. She later worked as a secretary to the Dean of Admissions at Emmanuel College. Ginny went on to a career in the Braintree School system as a para professional. She was pleased to be a charter member of the East Braintree Civic Association where she tirelessly fought to protect the health and safety of her community. More then anything Ginny loved spending time with her friends and family and created many found memories from time spent in New Hampshire and Cape Cod. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the American Diabetes Association @ https://www.diabetes.org. There will be a gathering at the funeral home at 9AM prior to the Funeral Mass at 10AM will be conducted at the Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth Landing on October 16th. Burial will follow at 1:30 PM at the Bourne Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
