Shirley Mae (Buker) Boettcher passed away at home on January 1st 2022. She was born on February 5,1927 the daughter of Arthur and Annie (Hollingshead) Buker. Shirley was predeceased by her first husband Frank DeMarco and her 2nd husband Theodore R. Boettcher, Daughter Linda Parlin and son in law James Parlin, Brothers Robert Johnson and Buddy Buker, a sister Virginia Bumpus and good friend Helen O'Conner. She is survived by her children Carolyn Wright and her husband Richard of Lubbock,Texas, Deborah Romano, Sharon DeMarco, Elaine Hyland of East Bridgewater. Sisters, Bette Sanc and her husband Joseph of Barre,Ma, Sandra Keegan and her husband Daniel of Saquish,MA. Grandchildren, Mr.and Mrs. James Romano of Holmdel, NJ.Catherine Carr of San Diego,CA. John Carr IV of East Bridgewater,MA.Mr.and Mrs. Adam Wright of Wellington, CO.Jennifer Parlin of Tuscon,AZ and many nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Shirley worked at the Venetian restaurant in Weymouth for 37 years and was a member of the Braintree Art Association in the 1970's.Also the V.F.W. Post 1399 in Weymouth always lending a helping hand when needed, also the Braintree Housing Authority. Shirley loved to work in her rock garden. Shirley was an angel on earth as she cared for her siblings after their mom passed away at a young age. Her house was always open to whomever needed a place to heal. She raised 5 girls on a waitress salary and sacrificed a lot for her family. A Celebration of her life will be held in May of 2022.
