Shannon P. Bjorkman, age 50, of Hull, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, after a long and valiant struggle with glioblastoma.
Born in Boston, Shannon was the only child of the late Lorna J.E. Boduck of Hull, and the only grandchild of the late Elizabeth A. and Robert J. Reedy of Braintree.
Shannon is survived by her daughters, Hannah E. Bjorkman and Emma R. Kaminaga of Hull, her partner Jeffrey Kaminaga of Hull, her former husband Douglas P. Bjorkman of Boston, and her uncle Robert Scott Reedy of Braintree.
Shannon enjoyed traveling, attending concerts and plays, and spending time with family and friends, many of whom were lifelong. Throughout her life, Shannon maintained her Catholic faith as an active member of her parish community, at St. Francis of Assisi in Braintree and later St. Ann Church in Hull. Her greatest joy came from every moment she got to spend with her daughters.
A graduate of Braintree High School, Shannon enjoyed early career success as a salesperson at Foot Locker at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, and later as a respected IT professional with Dedham Savings Bank and the former Mt. Washington Bank. In recent years, Shannon handled internal communications and other administrative tasks for St. Ann Church, and was also a professional dog walker.
Shannon will be loved and missed always by her family and friends. She was a good person and a wonderful mother.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at the Mortimer N. Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Ann Church/St. Mary of the Assumption Parish, 204 Samoset Avenue in Hull, at 10:30 am on Monday, March 3. Burial will follow at Hull Village Cemetery.
