BRAINTREE-
Robert Patrick Horan, passed away on July 29th, 2022. He was born in Brookline on 7/17/1931 to the late Patrick and Mary (Killmurray) Horan. Beloved husband to the late Eveline E (Apostol) Horan of Braintree. Brother to the late William Horan and the late Daniel Horan both of Brookline. Survived by his sister Mary E (Horan) Foley and her husband Jake of Abington. Loving Father to his daughter Janet (Horan) Bigelow and her husband Richard of Weymouth, and Andrea (Horan) Hartley and her husband Mark of Brockton. Grandfather to Kristin Bigelow of Plymouth, Jason Bigelow of Kobe, Japan, Brian Bigelow and Amanda Mack of Bridgewater, and Kevin Bigelow and Natalie Giulianelli of Somerville. Proud Great-Grandfather to Bradley Bigelow of Bridgewater. Bob served in the U.S. Army as a medic in Germany during the Korean Conflict. While working for Elm Farm Foods in the 1960's he became part of the computer programming revolution. He spent many years working for Westinghouse and later, Howden and American Davidson as a systems analyst. After Bob retired, he embarked on a second career with Stop and Shop in Braintree.Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #86. He was active in The Men’s Club of Braintree and was an usher at St. Clare Catholic Church in Braintree.Throughout his life, Bob enjoyed golf, crossword puzzles and socializing. He loved family get-togethers and could always be seen at the head of the table telling the stories of his life. For more information please see the Peck's website, www.peckservices.com. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 4th at 10:30am at St. Clare’s Parish, 1244 Liberty St. Braintree. Burial service
will follow at Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree.
