Robert J Heffron

Heffron, Robert J., age 68, passed into his Eternal Rest on February 27th, 2022 at the Mt Carmel NH and rehabilitation center. Loving and devoted son of Barbara M. Heffron of Braintree, and the late John F. Heffron, Sr. Bob is dearly loved and will be sadly missed. Bob is survived by a sister Mary Ann Cooney of Manchester NH, a brother John F. Heffron, JR and his wife Marcela of Pembroke MA, nephews Christopher and Matthew Cooney, and Milos Heffron, a niece and God Child Theresa Heffron, and aunt Cecilia McGee of Milton MA, as well as many cousins.  A longtime friend of Bill W’s. Bob is survived by many loyal and caring friends with whom he so enjoyed life. Bob was a wonderful and gentle man who brought joy and kindness to anyone who knew him. Bob was an avid fan of all sports and especially the New England teams. He impressed many by his keen ability to easily recall details of games and players, and if there was a question about the history of the Bruins, Patriots or Red Sox, Bob was the one to go to. Born in Boston, Bob resided in Braintree the greater part of his beautiful life. Educated at St. Thomas More School, he graduated from Braintree High School and attended Quincy Junior College. Bob worked at the New England Tel & Tel and was later employed at the Shaw Supermarkets. On Friday, March 11, 2022, a remembrance gathering for Bob will be held at Mortimer Peck Funeral Home, Washington St. Braintree from 9 AM to 10 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass of Catholic Faith at St. Clare Church in Braintree at 10:30 AM. Burial will then be held at the Blue Hills Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.The family wishes to thank the Greater Manchester Mental Health, the Visiting Nurses of Manchester Hospice care, and the entire staff of the Mount Carmel Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center.
