BRAINTREE - Richard Leonard DePaulo, 84, passed away on October 4th, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born on April 2nd, 1934 and was the son of Alfred DePaulo and his wife, Adeline Thomas DePaulo. He graduated from Quincy High School. He was the husband of his beloved wife, Mildred A. (Morgan) DePaulo. Richard was a Marine in service during the Korean Conflict. Richard was a member of the American Legion at the Quincy Morrisette Post. Richard later became a self-employed carpenter on the South Shore. He retired in 2003. Richard was a great fan of baseball, having been drafted by the St. Louis Browns Major League franchise. He loved to watch his grandchildren playing sports and games, including his grandson, Steven, playing baseball, in his later years. Richard also loved to play golf at the local courses including in Dedham, MA. He leaves behind his beloved son, Richard L. DePaulo, Jr. of Braintree, and his two beloved daughters, Angela D’Orsi and her husband, Thomas, of Braintree and Diane E. Whalen, and her husband, Joseph, of Braintree. He was the brother of the late Alfred DePaulo of Halifax, MA, and his sister, the late Alice Clark of Quincy, MA. Richard also leaves behind his six beloved grandchildren, Lora Cruz, Anthony D’Orsi, Joseph Whalen, Richard Whalen, Jocelyn Whalen and Steven Whalen. See www.peckservices.com for future information.
