Michael T Stanton

WEYMOUTH - Michael T. Stanton, passed away surrounded by his friends, at the South Shore Hospital, in Weymouth on April 7th. Mike was born in 1957 in Milton, MA.  He graduated from Milton High School and went on to gain a bachelor's degree in business from Northeastern University.  He was a long-time resident of Weymouth, MA.  He was the beloved son of his parents, Attorney Timothy Joseph Stanton, Jr. and his wife, Dorothy Zahoruko Stanton, of Milton, MA.  Michael's late mother, Dorothy, was the sister of Vera Pevear, his aunt, who he leaves behind. He also leaves behind Vera's daughters Suzanne and Carolanne, and his cousins Candace McLaughlin, Patricia Lemire, and Susan Smith; Kent Cooper and Barbara DiTomaso, as well as many beloved nephews and nieces. He worked as a tax preparer for H & R Block in Braintree and Weymouth.  He was a member of Milton Lodge A.F. & A.M.  And Michael leaves behind his close Masonic Brother, Bruce E. Fought.  He had been a communicant at St. Elizabeth's Church as a boy.  He was a member of the Milton High Track and Athletic Team.  At Northeastern University he was on its track team, as well.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours at the Mortimer N. and Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, April 16th.  A Funeral Mass will be held by Father Stephen Zukas at St. Elizabeth's Church at 350 Reedsdale Road, Milton, MA 02186, on April 17th, 2018 at 10 A.M.  Charitable donations can be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, or to the Milton Masonic Lodge c/o Mr. Bruce Fought, 33 Independence Lane Hingham, MA 02043.
