CUMBERLAND, R.I. & formerly BRAINTREE, MA – Marilyn W. McPhail, passed away on January 10th, 2021. She was born in Braintree on January 7th, 1931, to Israel Pitman Weston and his wife, Grace Evelyn Pratt Weston. She leaves behind a beloved son, David A. McPhail, Jr., and his wife, Casey Bavaro McPhail, of Pawtucket, RI. Marilyn also leaves behind three grandchildren, Gianna, 16, Anthony, 12, and Adrianna, 12. Marilyn was a graduate of Braintree High School Class of 1949. Marilyn, after graduating from the Boston School of Nursing, became a registered nurse for the Boston Floating Hospital. She was very involved in the First Baptist Church of Braintree, singing in the choir, and volunteered at city and sporting events in Braintree. As well, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. One of her favorite poems was the famous “Footprints” poem. Visiting hours will be from 9 AM to 11 AM on Wednesday, January 20th, 2021, followed by an 11:15 to 12-noon funeral service at the Mortimer N. Peck Funeral Chapels, at 516 Washington Street in Braintree, MA 02184.
