Margaret “Peg” B. Hatch of Abington, formerly of North Weymouth, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert P. Hatch, also of North Weymouth. They were married in 1952 and shared 66 years together before his passing.
Peg was known for her love of hockey and was a lifelong Bruins fan. She was an avid couponer, and she looked forward to her weekly knitting group at the Weymouth Senior Center with her best friends. Peg also spent many years camping with her family and friends, and she served as secretary of the North American Family Camping Association (NAFCA).
Peg is survived by her son Robert B. Hatch and his wife Cheryl of Abington. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Richard Hatch and his wife Taryn of Raynham and Ryan Hatch and his wife Chelsea of Whitman. Peg was also a loving great-grandmother to Brayden and Addison Hatch.
Visiting hours will be held at Mortimer-N-Peck Funeral Home located at 516 Washington St. in Braintree, Massachusetts, on Thursday, July 13th, from 4:00-7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Mortimer-N-Peck on Friday, July 14th, at 10:30 AM with the burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Weymouth, Massachusetts.
