Josephine Crosta (Balzarini) of Middleborough passed away peacefully at the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home in Middleborough at the age of 89. She was the Cherished daughter of the late Silvio and Dina Balzarini. Josephine was a devoted wife of Robert Crosta of 68 years. Loving mother of Michael Crosta and his wife Ann of Abington, Kevin Crosta of Abington, and Marilyn and her husband Philip Healy of Whitman. Sister of Richard Balzarini and his wife Ini of Scituate. Loving "Nana" of Matthew, Kaitlin, Andrew, Rachael, and Ben. Great Nana of Cora and Brody and also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Josephine was born in Brattleboro Vermont. Her family moved to Quincy where she graduated from Quincy high school in 1949. She worked at the New England life insurance company as a secretary for several years. She married her high school sweetheart Bob in 1953. They lived in Hingham where she worked for the Hingham water company. She had her 3 children Michael, Kevin and Marilyn. In 1967 she moved to Braintree and raised her children. She worked in the family business R.S. Crosta Inc. up until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling with her family and friends throughout her life. In 2004 she moved to Oak Point a retirement community in Middleborough. She met many new friends and enjoyed all the functions and cookouts they had. Everyone that knew her thought she was the most sweetest, kindest, and loving lady. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Visitation hours are from 9 to 11 AM on Tuesday, March 9th, at the Russell-Mortimer Peck Funeral Chapels, 516 Washington St. Braintree, followed by a Christian funeral at 11:00 AM at the funeral chapels.
