It is with heavy hearts that we announce the recent passing of Joanna McLean Littlefield, age 79, of Braintree, on June 5, 2023. Services will be held on June 13 at Peck Funeral Home, Washington Street, Braintree, with interment at Forest Hills Cemetery in Jamaica Plain.

Joanna was beloved by many, including her late husband, Rudolph N. Littlefield, and her son, Jonathan Littlefield, of Braintree, along with her "adopted" family, Susan and Scott Horrigan and their sons, Scott James and Ben, of Sandwich, MA, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law, Charles Richard Littlefield, of Decatur, GA.

Joanna was born on August 17, 1943, in Dorchester, MA, to parents Arthur S. and Joanna F. McLean. The youngest of seven children, Joanna is preceded in death by her parents as well as her siblings, Daniel, John, Arthur, David, Gerald, and Mary M. Cyr.

 A former middle school teacher with the City of Boston for over 30 years, primarily at Grover Cleveland Middle School in Dorchester, Joanna is remembered fondly by her former students. In her retirement, Joanna was a member of the Audubon Society and helped organize trivia events and book clubs for local seniors. Her candid sense of humor, generous nature, and compassionate heart will be lovingly remembered and missed. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, June 13 from 10:00-11:30 A.M. At Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St. Braintree. A Catholic Prayer Service will be held at 11:30 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Boston.
