Joan Hollander, of Weymouth and Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Jan 7 at the age of 85. Born in East Boston in 1940 Joan was the beloved daughter of the late John and Grace Hollander. Beloved aunt to Joshua, Jason, Austin and Savannah. Born in East Boston in 1944, Joan graduated Weymouth High School and went on to obtaining her Masters Degree in Business Administration from Boston University with honors. Joan spent her career within the insurance industry and retired while working for Commercial Union Insurance Co. Joanie's life was enriched by many hobbies including traveling, ancestry, speed skating, sailing and birding. She spent lots of time at the UKTS Sauna in Pembroke as well as visiting friends and family from all around. Joan is survived by nephews Josh, Jason, and Austin, and niece Savannah, and her sister in law Jeri. Joan is predeceased by her parents, John and Grace Hollander, brother John Hollander, husband Bob Hutchinson and life partner Ken Kunhardt.
A Prayer service will be held at 11:00 on Saturday March 7,2026 at the Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St. in Braintree, Ma 02184.
