Jeannette G Perot

Jeannette Gloria Perot (Calabro), 98 years young, of Braintree, formerly of Merrymount, Quincy, passed away Saturday afternoon, February 1, 2020, at her place of residence surrounded by her loving sisters.

Jeannette was the first-born child of nine, born to the late Joseph L. and Carolina M. Calabro (Allodi)  of Quincy.  Jeannette was the beloved sister to Antoinette Quain and her late husband Ronald of Longmeadow, formerly of Hingham, and Ann Arbor, MI; the late Pauline Anderson and her late husband Walter of Norwell; Joseph Calabro and his late wife Rita of Abington, Falmouth, and Weymouth; Edward Calabro and his wife Ellie of Quincy; Carolyn Mulholland, of Rockaway, NY;  Eleanor Sabini and her husband Frederick of Milton; and the twins, Roberta Vernaglia of Brockton and Richard Calabro and his wife Ingeborg of Green Valley, AZ, formerly of Walpole.  Jeannette was also an adoring and proud aunt to her 23 nieces and nephews and their children, 30 and counting!   She loved them all very much.

Being from a large family, Jeannette always held them at the forefront of her mind and took particular joy in their company, support, and love.  Living in the Merrymount Beach area of Quincy, Jeannette took inspiration from the ocean.  She was a recognized community member, seated alongside her dear mother Carolina on the benches that dotted the beach.  An adoring daughter, Jeannette cared for her mother, offering comfort and companionship until her mother’s passing.  Jeannette was an accomplished painter, pianist, and singer, who loved to spend hours entertaining family at the piano.  For a time, she sang professionally for a Boston opera company.  When she could, Jeannette enjoyed traveling to such places as England, Italy, Arizona, Colorado, and Cape Cod.

Jeannette Perot brought much joy to those who loved her and will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, February 8th from 9 to 11 am prior to the funeral services at 11 at the Mortimer Peck Funeral Home, located at 516 Washington Street, Braintree MA 02184.  Burial will follow at 11:30 am at the Blue Hills Cemetery located at 700 West Street, Braintree MA 02184.  A memorial mass celebrating Jeannette's life will be held at a future date. 

Flowers may be delivered to Peck Funeral Homes 516 Washington St. Braintree on Friday, February 7th from 2 to 5 PM at the funeral home.
