Jane (Nash) Whittaker

Jane Whittaker of Braintree passed away peacefully on November 3rd surrounded by family at South Shore Hospital at age 89. A loving and devoted wife to the late Leon J. Whittaker Jr. Daughter of the late Christine (Chisolm) and Earl Nash of Braintree. Loving mother of daughter Gail Moore of Riverside California, son Mark and his wife Betty Whittaker of Plymouth, of the late daughter Lee Ann Whittaker of Hull, and son Glenn Whittaker of Stoughton. Sister of the late Maureen Setterlund of Medfield, of the late Phyllis Leary of Braintree. Survived by her living sister Sandy Cain of Avon. Beloved Nana of 9 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. A caring and devoted Aunt of many surviving nieces and nephews. Happy and caring to all her surviving friends at Logan Park of Braintree.

Visiting hours in Mortimer N. Peck funeral home at 516 Washington Street, Braintree, MA on Wednesday November 10th 2021 from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday November 11th 2021 at the Parish of St. Claire church 1244 Liberty St, Braintree, MA, to be followed with a graveside service at 11:45 AM at the Braintree Cemetery on Plain St., Braintree, MA.  All relatives and friends are welcome to come and visit.

Jane loved working for the Braintree school department as the front office secretary for 32 years helping many faculty and students over the years. Working for the school department meant seeing lots of folks when out running errands which always brought a smile to her face. Loved the family gatherings in the summer time hanging out at the pool and making great summer meals, was always a fun time. We are all going to miss her dearly.
