James Joseph “Jimmy” Ellis of Weymouth formerly of Dorchester and Randolph at the age of 69 years old passed away peacefully of cancer and surrounded by those who loved him.
Jimmy is survived by and missed by his loving wife Jamie. He was also the devoted son of the late David S. Ellis and the late Mary (Zunino) Ellis. He was the loving brother of Karalyn (Ellis) Clancy and her husband Richard, David Ellis and his late wife Kathy, Mary-lou (Ellis) Musto and her husband Mark, the late Laurie (Ellis) Melchionda and her husband Robert. Jimmy was also cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Growing up Jimmy loved swimming, camping and trips to New Hampshire. He also graduated from Boston High School where he joined the U.S. Navy and served proudly. He spent many days with friends and other veterans at the V.F.W. Post in Randolph, Ma.
Jimmy spent his years as a home improvement contractor and loved working on homes on the south shore.
Jimmy also had the love of the ocean and was a member of the Wessagussett Yacht Club in Weymouth, MA, where he loved enjoying his time on his boat with his wife Jamie. There he make many lasting friendships.
He will be remembered for his easy going nature and his love of humor. He will be greatly missed.
Visiting Hours will be held on Wednesday May 6 from 4-8 P.M. at the Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St. Braintree, MA 02184. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday May 7, at 11:00 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery 700 West St. Braintree.
