WEYMOUTH- ANDREWS, James (Jamie) Douglas of East Weymouth, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2023, at the age of 63, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in East Weymouth, Jamie attended Weymouth Public Schools. He was a self-taught Historian, an avid bottle collector, photographer and author (producing books about the history of the Quincy Granite Quarries). Jamie’s friends were scattered far and wide as a result of his many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed his many railroad trips with the Mystic Valley Railroad Club, socializing at the Norwell Friendship Home and his close friends at the East Weymouth Congregational Church and the Boston and Quincy Public Libraries. He went on several driving and train trips with his parents to the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada and the Western Region of the United States. Jamie will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. He was the dear son of the late Betty L. (Langhorst) and Alan D. Andrews, devoted brother of Sara Caroline (Andrews) and her husband Timothy M. Stinson and his cousin, Steven D. Langhorst, and his wife, Erin. Also survived by many cousins. Flowers may be delivered to the Braintree Chapel's flower room on Monday, April 10th, arriving between 9 AM to 2PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, April 10th, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Peck Funeral Home- Braintree Chapel, 516 Washington Street. On Friday, April 14, friends and family are cordially invited to gather at the Peck Funeral Home- Braintree Chapel for a prayer service at 9:00 am after which there will be a Funeral Service at the East Weymouth Congregational Church, 1320 Commercial St., East Weymouth at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Old North Cemetery, 126 Norton Street, North Weymouth.
