Isely Lamour was born on October 17, 1963 in Cap Haitien, Haiti and she passed away in the Lord on January 30, 2022. She was the daughter of Georgette Mathurin and Ramses Lamour. She was the second youngest of eight siblings. She was a proud mother to her beloved son, Leslie Lamour. Isely grew up in Cap Haitian, Haiti and Freeport, Maine. Isely attended college model in Haiti, Job Corps in Maine and University of Maine at Orono, and UMass Boston. Isely enjoyed reading her Bible, dancing, cooking and baking. Isely loved vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard and spending time with her fun-loving family in Maine. She also loved going to Legal Seafood and shopping at Lord and Taylor’s. Isely spent many years working as a medical assistant. Isely was a compassionate and caring person. She was passionate about helping others from all walks of life. Her initial goal was to be a nurse. Isely was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1993 and due to the progression of her illness, Isely was unable to complete her nursing degree. Despite having MS over half of her life, Isely remained positive throughout the ups and downs of her illness. Her infectious laughter and beautiful smile would light up any room. Isely’s youngest sister, Gaenslie was her phenomenal caretaker. She provided Isely with the love, care, patience and resources to live her best life with MS. Isely deeply loved her family and her family deeply cared and loved her back. Isely was the Rock of the family. Isely was an active member of Central Baptist Church of Quincy for 30 years. She enjoyed being a member of the B.Fit program at the Boston Home for 16 years. Isely will be greatly missed by family, friends and church members but she will not be forgotten. She was predeceased by her mother, Georgette Mathurin; Step-mother, Ellen V. Lamour; and her niece, Tamara Cameau. Isely is survived by her son, Leslie Lamour; her father, Ramses Lamour; her sisters, Lynda Lamour, Evelyn Lamour, Gessie Roberts, and Gaenslie Lamour Procope; her brothers, Halesby Lamour, Haendel Lamour and Russell Lamour; sister-in-laws, Ketteline Lamour, Sylvie Lamour and Pauline Lamour; brother-in-law, Wayne Procope; her grandson, Preston Lamour; 10 nieces
and 15 nephews; 15 grandnieces and 19 grandnephews. The visiting hours will be held at the Central Baptist Church on Friday, February 11th, from 10 to 11 AM, followed by the Christian Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. The burial at is at the Blue Hill Cemetery 700 West Street Braintree, which will start at 12:15 PM, afternoon.
