Irene (Renee) Miranda Beaudoin 92, of Braintree, MA passed away peacefully at Wingate Health Care of Kingston, Ma on Wednesday, Jan 1, 2025,surrounded by her family. She was born in Quincy Point, MA on 4/16/1932, the daughter of the late Tito and Elizabeth (Bessie) Reid Miranda.
Sister of the late Lawrence Miranda of Georgia and the late Alfred Miranda of Brockton, MA. She is survived by her 4 children. Richard Beaudoin and wife Gayle of Pembroke, MA. Linda (Beaudoin) Wright of Florida, Raymond Beaudoin of Barre, Ma and Roger Beaudoin, whereabouts unknown. Three grandchildren Geena, Nicholas and Holly and many nieces and nephews.
Renee was an avid animal lover and beach goer, especially enjoying time at Avalon Beach in Quincy where she grew up and Nantasket Beach in Hull. She loved the Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots and could be heard rooting for her teams by blowing her bullhorn when they scored or perhaps whistling. Whistling was her way of calling us for dinner, which could be heard for miles.
She resided in Braintree, MA for 65 yrs. And spent her remaining years at Wingate of Silver Lake in Kingston. First in residency, then memory care and finally assisted living. She was a parishioner of Quincy Point Congregational Church. Renee graduated from Quincy High School in 1951. She began her career at Sigma Instruments as supervisor and went on to become a Professional Dancer at such places as The Showboat, The Blue Bunny, on Nantasket Beach. She later worked as a Clerk at the Quincy Registry of Motor Vehicles from which she retired and continued working as a Crossing Guard for the Town of Braintree Police Dept..
A private cremation will be done. In consideration of her love of animals, the family asks that donations be made to a local animal shelter, New England Wildlife Center of Weymouth or one of your choice in lieu of flowers.
