Elizabeth Ann (Munzing) Higgins

Higgins, Elizabeth Ann (Munzing) 90 years of age, peacefully entered Life Eternal at Milton Hospital in Milton on Wednesday, October 7th, 2020 after battling a brief illness. “Betty” as she was known, was born in Boston and attended Girls High School, graduating in 1947. Betty worked for Braintree Public Schools in the food services department, so she could spend her summers in New Hampshire with her boys, until her retirement. She continued working at the rectory at Saint Clare Parish in Braintree well into her seventies. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald P. Higgins, a retired U.S. Marine. She was the devoted mother of the late Daniel P. Higgins of Braintree and David P. Higgins of Cape Cod. She was the loving grandmother to Jonathan and Devin Higgins of Boston. She was pre-deceased by her sister Mary Burgess, her sister Eileen Hoover and her brothers Francis, Andrew and Robert Munzing and brother in law George Hoover. Betty enjoyed spending time “up the country” at her cottage in New Hampshire. Whether you knew her as Betty, Mom, or Nana you knew that she was a very loving, caring, kind and compassionate person. She will be very missed, but has been reunited with her husband and son now.
