Eleanor B. Ward, 104, of Braintree passed away on August 6, 2021. Eleanor was born on November 25, 1916 in East Boston, to Crescenzo and Frances Cusato. She was an avid Red Sox fan, suffering their losses for many years and finally celebrated their World Series wins. She was truly a fan for all seasons. Eleanor was fond of cats and was very attached to her dear Minou. A collector and lover of dolls, she enjoyed decorating her home with them.
Eleanor was the wife of the late Charles Ward. Known as ‘Meema’ to many of her family, she was beloved by her children, Eleanor Ward of Braintree, Charles and his wife Sue of Hanover and Kathleen and her husband James of Raynham. Eleanor is also survived by her three grandchildren Ellen, Paul and Christopher, as well as 4 great grandchildren.
Eleanor was a soft soul in a hard world. In lieu of flowers Eleanor would be pleased if you performed of random act of kindness in her memory.
Visiting hours will be 9 – 11 am on Thursday August 12 at Mortimer Peck Funeral Chapel, 516 Washington St, Braintree. Funeral service will be a 11 am also at Mortimer Peck. Burial at Mount Benedict cemetery in West Roxbury
