Eileen Marie (Sheets) Freeley

BRAINTREE   EILEEN M. (SHEETS) FREELEY passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at the age of 92, at the Bay Path Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Duxbury, MA.  She was born July 25, 1930, in Dorchester, MA and graduated high school from St. Joseph’s Academy for Girls in Roxbury.  Upon graduation she worked at a milliner’s shop in Boston and later as a keypunch operator at Boston Edison.  In 1955 she married her loving husband Robert A. Freeley and made a home, raising ten children in Norwood, Duxbury and eventually Braintree, where she has been residing for the past fifty years. Eileen loved spending time with all the kids, taking road trips on great adventures.  She worked hard but also laughed a lot.  She loved to dance, sing, and organize family get-togethers.  

She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Bob, of 49 years. 

She will be missed by her large and loving family, including; Joan Ducharme and her husband David (predeceased) of Harpswell ME, Denise Yazbek and her husband Richard of Rancho Santa Margarita CA, Patricia (Pat) Freeley (predeceased) of Kingston MA, Charles (Chuck) Freeley (predeceased) and his wife Cindy of Foxboro MA, Paul Freeley and his wife Marlene of Marshfield MA, Rosemary Garland of Warwick RI, Carolyn Ottney and her husband Joseph of Newmarket NH, Robert Freeley of Braintree MA, Austin (Joe) Freeley and his wife Jo-Ann of Pembroke MA, and James Freeley and his wife Lisa of Kingston, MA.  She will also be missed by her 15 grandchildren, including: Jessica Yazbek, Kristen Huckins, Michael Freeley, Jacqueline Ducharme, Alison Chan, Ryan Freeley, Brendan Boyle, Caroline Ducharme, Christopher Freeley, Patrick Garland, Jack Freeley, Lauren Freeley, Lisa Freeley, Dean Freeley, and Emily Freeley; and 4 great grandchildren, including Mia Huckins, Wyatt Huckins, Leon Freeley, and Simon Chan. She will also be missed by many members of her extended family and her friends from Arnold Hall. She was predeceased by her brothers Paul, Eugene, and Richard Sheets. 

Visitation and a funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Church,

44 School Street, Quincy, MA. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The funeral mass will begin at 12:00 p.m.  The mass will be followed by a burial at Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree.
