Edward Ira Hunt Jr.

Edward Ira Hunt, Jr. of Braintree, MA passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at age 77.  He loved his wife, Miranova Hunt, unconditionally for over 57 years.  Son of the late Edward and Mary Hunt (née Tivnan). Devoted father of Eugene and his wife Janese of Braintree, Robert and his wife Karen of South Boston, and Malissa Northup and her husband David of Braintree. Loving Papa of grandchildren Porter, William, Lila, and Grady.

A life-long resident of Braintree, Eddie graduated from Braintree High School and Northeastern University.  He was a professional mechanical engineer and had a long successful career at Stone and Webster and Dominion Energy.

Eddie was an avid collector and history buff. He loved trains and antique cars, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his four grandchildren. Over the years he attended every school and sporting event for his children and grandchildren with his camera in hand. He was able to see much of the world cruising with his wife, Mira, by his side. They traveled all over Europe, the South Pacific, Alaska, and the Caribbean and were always ready for another adventure. Eddie Spaghetti was known for his wicked sense of humor and expertise on “Dad” jokes. He will be greatly missed by his loud, loving family.

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, November, 17th from 4-8 P.M.at Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St. Braintree, MA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November, 18th at 10 A.M.at St.Francis of Assisi Church in Braintree.
