Diane M (Zakrzewski) Wright

On Saturday June 4, 2022, Diane (Zakrzewski) Wright, loving mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 72.

Diane was born on May 7, 1950 in Dorchester, MA. She was the only child of Leo and Connie Zakrzewski. She was a graduate of Braintree High School. Being an only child, Diane loved growing up in a very large polish family with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Diane found joy in life’s simple pleasures. A sweet smile from a baby, a handwritten card, late night movies, a good glass of amaretto and, of course, a sweet treat! Her greatest joys in life were her grand babies.

Diane was preceded by her death by her mother, Connie, and father, Leo. She is survived by her son Dennis and his wife Allison and her 2 grandchildren, Jacqueline and Andrew, of West Bridgewater, and many cousins. She was also the loving honorary grandmother to Bailey and Riley Anderson and godmother to Julie Grey.

The visitation hours are on Sunday, June 12th from 5 to 8 PM here, at the Mortimer N. Peck Funeral home at 516 Washington Street Braintree.  The gathering for the funeral is on Monday afternoon at 1:00 PM with prayers at 1:30 PM and then going in procession of cars to St. Francis of Assisi church with Father Clifford, for Mass. Burial will be at a later date. She will be buried with her parents at Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
