Diane Roper, 76, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 3, 2025, after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Justice Robert W. Roper, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage.
Diane was the devoted mother of Robert E. Roper and his wife Lianne of Braintree; Bonny Roper and her partner Jonathon Parker of Holbrook; Matthew Roper and his wife Shevaun of Weymouth; Katheryne Roper; and Dawn Roper, both of Braintree.
She was the cherished grandmother of Robert, Darren, Josephine, Kaidence, Aubree, Matthew, Trevor, Jonny, Brady, Landon, Elijah, and Lyra—her pride and joy.
Diane is survived by her mother, Eleanor Bestick of Plymouth; her sisters, Eleanor Lane of Florida and Judith Chambers of Taunton; and her brother, Earle Bestick of Plymouth. She was predeceased by her brother, Roland Bestick of Quincy.
Born in Weymouth, Diane worked for 20 years at Sears in Braintree and retired in 2011. She was known for her dedication, warmth, and strong work ethic. A wonderful friend to many, she will be dearly missed. Above all, she found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
Diane's visiting hours will be on Tuesday July 8th, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM. at the Braintree Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington St. Funeral will be held on Wednesday July 9, 2025 at the Braintree Funeral Chapel at 10:30 AM. See peckservices.com for more information.
