Deborah Frances (DeMarco) Romano passed away at Brockton Hospital, Brockton, MA on January 26th, 2022. She was born on September 23rd, 1957, the daughter of Frank DeMarco and Shirley (Buker) Boettcher. Deborah was predeceased by her first husband, James Dempsey, her sister, Linda Parlin and brother-in-law Jim Parlin, her mother Shirley (Buker) Boettcher and father Frank DeMarco. She is survived by her son, James Romano, and his wife Tonya, of Holmdel, NJ, sisters, Carolyn Wright and her husband Richard, of Lubbock, TX, Sharon DeMarco and Elaine Hyland of East Bridgewater, MA, grandchildren, Andrew and Evan Romano, and many nieces and nephews.
Deborah attended the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Lubbock, TX to become a Registered Nurse. She worked as a nurse for over 30 years and enjoyed many challenging assignments that took her all over the country. As a traveling nurse, she worked in some of the most well respected hospitals in eight different states, including the Tucson Heart Hospital and University Medical Center's Level 1 Trauma Center. She loved the fast pace of emergency room medicine. More recently she worked in home health care. She had many interesting adventures throughout the years. After leaving health care, she was employed by Shaw's Supermarket in Weymouth, MA where she was a department manager. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 28 2022 at the Rockland Eagles Club 29 Park St. Rockland, Ma from 1-5 P.M.
