Dawn Marie (Scammell) Nichols

Dawn Marie (Scammell) Nichols, 53, passed away suddenly, Thursday, August 12, 2021. Born in Braintree, she resided in Brockton for many years with her husband and daughter. She graduated from Braintree High School, Class of 1986. She committed her time over the last two decades to the special needs community and was apart of many organizations in support of Down Syndrome. 

Dawn was the devoted wife and mother of Vincent B. Nichols and Jordan L. Nichols of Brockton. She was the step mother of Natasha Creech and Vincent Nichols. Dawn is also survived by her sister, Lynanne Lazaron. She was the loving auntie to Kyle, Allyson and Zachary Lazaron. Dawn was an amazing friend to all who knew her and captivated the attention of everyone. 

Visiting hours will be Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Homes, 516 Washington St., Braintree, MA. Funeral Services will be held privately.
