Cynthia "Cindy" P. (Reeves) Keenan of Braintree passed away peacefully at Mass General Hospital surrounded by family on October 29, 2021, at the age of 63.
Loving wife of Michael Keenan for 34 years. Daughter of the late Judith (Croke) and William Reeves. Devoted mother to Nicole (Keenan) Eckhardt and her husband Andrew of Cumberland, RI, Michael Keenan and his wife Kaitlyn of Williston, VT, and James Keenan and his wife Amy of Braintree, cherished sister of Pamela Reeves of Weymouth, Susan (Reeves) Linscott of Weymouth, and William Reeves of Weymouth. Best Nana ever to Owen, Eli, Benny, Delaney, Stella, and Noah. Second mother to many nieces and nephews, friends, and students.
Cindy lived in Braintree for most of her life and attended Braintree Schools. She has been a staple in the Braintree community where she has supported many and worked in various roles. Cindy’s smile greeted many children as a town school bus driver and then she transitioned to working at Braintree High School's School to Work Program. Most recently, she worked as a 6th-grade Language-based teacher and 8th-grade Resource teacher at South Middle School from which she retired, she has truly done it all.
Cindy was happiest when surrounded by her family and her grandchildren. She loved her Boston sports and watching the games with her husband, siblings, and friends. Cindy also enjoyed nature. She loved camping, playing cards while hunkered down in the camper during a rainstorm, and being by the fire under the stars.
Cindy will be missed by all but forgotten by none.
