Clarence S. Ramsey, Jr. of Braintree passed away on December 9, 2021, at the age of 89. Beloved husband for 63 years of Mary L. (Hain) Ramsey; loving father of Bonnie Toma of Braintree and Elizabeth Caruso (Robert) of Holbrook, Grandfather of Michelle Pollock (Michael) of Plymouth, David Caruso (Elizabeth) of Mansfield and Rebecca Marinaro of Taunton.  Great Grandfather of Mia and Ava Tatro of Plymouth, Mason and Maddox Marinaro of Bridgewater, and Isabella Caruso of Mansfield. Clarence is the brother of the late Edward Ramsey of Spokane, Washington, and Nancy Ramsey of Weymouth.

 

Clarence is a graduate of Somerville High School, Bentley School of Accounting, and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.  Clarence served in the United States Air Force where he achieved the rank of Airman First Class before embarking on a 40-year career at Bank of Boston.

 

After retiring, Clarence was a dedicated volunteer at the South Shore Hospital as well as for South Shore Elders.

 

In his spare time, Clarence enjoyed walking, reading, and traveling.  He was especially fond of Ogunquit, Maine where he vacationed every summer with his family for more than 30 years.

 

Clarence was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Braintree where he served for many years as a Deacon.

 

Clarence will be sorely missed by his loving family.

 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family at Peck Funeral Homes, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, Massachusetts on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 8:00 am to 11:00 am, with a service following at 11:15 am. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West Street, Braintree, Massachusetts.
