Claire M (Thibedeau) Naughton

Claire M. Naughton, 83, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, July 4, 2022. She was the beloved
wife of the late Joseph Naughton. Daughter of William E. Thibedeau and his wife Florence M. (Molloy)
Thibedeau, Claire grew up in Somerville, MA and graduated from Somerville High School. As a child
growing up, she used to love taking trips with her family to visit Nova Scotia. Claire first worked as a
secretary for New England Telephone and later as a supervisor for M & I New England. Claire enjoyed
puzzles, computer games and watching Boston sports teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. Claire was a
kind, loving wife and mother, and always carried herself with an inner strength and dignity. She loved
spending time with her children and grandchildren and was a great mother-in-law. She leaves behind
her beloved sons, Gerard Naughton and his wife Melanie of Braintree, David Naughton and his wife Lesa
of Harrisburg, N.C., Peter Naughton of Braintree and Matthew Naughton and his wife Tiffany of
Dunstable, MA. She also leaves behind her beloved daughters, Jacqueline Kutschenko and her husband
Jacob of Huntersville, N.C., Ellen Naughton of Braintree, and Kathryn Roberts and her husband Kevin of
Sharon, S.C. Claire leaves behind her sister, Patricia Goudey of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Claire also leaves
behind her sixteen adoring grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July
7, 2022, at the Peck Funeral Homes, 516 Washington St., Braintree. A private funeral mass will follow.
