Christine Lovering Obituary

WEYMOUTH Lovering, Christine (Lindquist) passed away peacefully of natural causes on May
22, 2020. Christine was born and lived in Weymouth, graduating from Weymouth
High School in 1948. She worked at Hunts Store for years until she married
Wyman Lovering. Christine was a member of the East Weymouth Congregational
Church most of her life and taught Sunday School while her children were young.
She had fond memories of family trips to Newfound Lake in NH and many hours
spent at Nantasket Beach in Hull. Christine enjoyed cooking, gardening, knitting,
sewing, and time with family and friends. She will also be remembered for the
many birthday cakes she baked and decorated and the dozens and dozens of
cookies she baked. It would not have been Christmas without her Swedish coffee
bread and hand-knitted mittens made even in her nineties. Christine also baked
and sewed items for the Woman’s Exchange in Hingham for many years. In her
later years, she kept up with local and world events by reading the entire
newspaper each day. She also kept in touch with friends through calls, cards, and
letters. The last few years of her life were spent living in Scituate with her son
Tom, wife Susan, and their children Kelsey, Micaela, and Tom Jr. She also leaves
her daughter Suzanne (husband Chris Whitman) of Scituate, Suzanne’s daughters
Krissi (husband Sean) and their children Christian, Caitlin, and Michaela of East
Bridgewater; daughter Amanda and her sons Jack and Abe of NH and Elyse of East
Bridgewater. Christine also leaves her son Steven and his daughter Grace. She
also leaves many nieces, nephews, and friends. Christine joins, in the presence of
God, her husband E. Wyman, her brother Robert Lindquist, her sister Dottie Ann
(Moqin) and her loving parents Isabelle (Briggs) and Allie Lindquist. Private
services will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Weymouth. Donations may be
made in Christine’s memory to the South Shore VNA, 30 Reservoir Park Drive,
Rockland, MA 02370. She never said good-bye but would end a visit or phone
conversation with, “OK, we’ll see ya’ later.”  Christine will be in our hearts forever
and we’ll see her later. See www.peckservices.com for more information, arrangements are by the
