Charles F. Knox, Jr., 67, of Braintree, died suddenly on February 10. "Charlie" was the son of the late Charles F. Knox Sr., and Helen Spooner Knox. He was pre-deceased by his life partner, Paul Newman, his sisters, Virginia Rose Kasper, and Mary J. Baudreau, and his brother, Douglas E. Knox. He will be sorely missed by his nine nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews and his countless friends, all of whom considered Charlie as their rock. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he retired after 30 years as the carpenter/locksmith at the South Boston Postal Annex. He loved woodworking and growing flowers, fruits, and vegetables in his garden, and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. A celebration of his life will happen at Peck Funeral Home in Braintree at Saturday, February 26 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler Street, Boston, MA 02116 or to MSPCA Angell Memorial Hospital, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
