Antonina “Nina” Pomerenko Tavener, passed away on September 4, 2021 at the age of 99. She was born on November 12, 1921 in Kharkov, Russia. Nina touched many lives over the years.  Her advice was a comfort to so many who sat with her at her kitchen table.  She enjoyed crocheting, tending to her flowers, sewing, her beloved pets, holidays, Sunday dinners and had a passion for baking (Christmas Cookies were always the coveted gift).  Most importantly she was always just a phone call away for those who needed a shoulder to lean on.  Her famous words were “better days are coming and this too shall pass”.
