Ann Elizabeth (Sullivan) Harnett passed away peacefully on the evening of May 23, 2025, at Royal Rehab and Nursing Center in Braintree. Born in Dorchester, MA, on March 20, 1957, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Betty) Sullivan. Devoted mother to Brian James, Amy Elizabeth, and Mathew Joseph Harnett.
Raised in Braintree in a loving home with her parents and 5 siblings, Ann loved spending time with her large Irish family, which included several cousins. She loved dressing up and going dancing at the disco.
Ann spent many happy summers on family trips to Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod. Her favorite place to go to was the beach. Later in life, she looked forward to long talks with her daughter Amy at local beaches and marinas, where they would enjoy a lobster roll or two.
While residing at Royal Rehab, Ann made many friends, even with the staff. She cherished her role in saying the rosary every Sunday at the rehab. Her name was even featured in the monthly bulletin. The family extends its thanks to the team for their compassionate care during Ann's stay.
Ann has joined her parents, Jim and Betty, as well as her son Brian, who have predeceased her. She is survived by her devoted children Amy (Harnett) Brown and husband Anthony Brown, and Matthew Harnett. She leaves her siblings, Mary Ellen Armold and her husband Steven of West Springfield, Kathleen S. Picard and her late husband Joseph of Braintree, Michael J. Sullivan of Randolph, Joseph C. Sullivan and his wife Barbara, and James J. Sullivan Jr. and his wife Kathleen, all of Braintree. Beloved mother, sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin, and friend.
