BRAINTREE - Ann T. "Nancy" (Herlihy) Butler, 1925-2020, age 95 of Braintree MA, on December 21, 2020, passed away peacefully at her home in Braintree. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Butler, devoted mother of Ann Donahue and her husband Rich of Sudbury MA, Mary Albrecht and her husband Mark of Quincy MA., William Butler Jr and his wife Brenda of Brockton, MA, and Patty Calkins and her husband Greg of Braintree, MA. Loving grandmother of Patrick Donahue, Brian and Jessica Donahue, Elizabeth and Collin Thigpen, Michael and Kelly Albrecht, Sam Albrecht, Cameron Butler, Jennifer Calkins, and Ben Rabinowitz, Dan and Amy Calkins and Matt and Kelley Calkins and dear Great Grammy to Henry, Rylie, Reese, Connor, Prudence, Isabel, Woods, Jocelyn, and Lucy. Also, Ann is survived by her beloved sister Mary Pistorino and her husband Charlie Pistorino of McClean, VA, and is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Nancy lived her life to the fullest and was devoted to her family. She loved the time she spent with her family at Green Harbor, Cape Cod, and Longboat Key, Florida. Nancy enjoyed her two careers with John Hancock and later as manager of the cash and credit office at Filene’s in Braintree.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, funeral services will be private and handled through the Peck Funeral Homes in Braintree MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the charity of one’s choice or one of her favorite charities which include St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Home for Little Wanderers, and Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
