Angela Healy, born on October 22, 1935, peacefully departed from this world on January 4, 2024, in the presence of those who loved her. She is survived by her children, Michael Healy (partner Linnea Meyer), Cheryl Hayford (partner Frank Baioa), and Mark Healy (wife Rachel). She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and Charles Dolan, ex-husband Bernie Healy, and her beloved partner of 28 years, Ron Schuster. Angela leaves behind a legacy of love and spirit that will forever be cherished by her family and friends. She is also survived by her adoring grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Gigi,” Nicole Sylvestor (husband Tyler), Kate Healy, and Dolan Healy. She also leaves behind her sisters, Patricia Rizzo, Susan DeLaurentis, and Gloria Erikson; brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and many friends. Angela was born and raised in the Longwood area of Boston. After moving, she graduated from Braintree High School and then attended Forsyth Dental School, a branch of Northeastern University. She spent many years working as a dental hygienist. She was an avid swimmer growing up and was particularly proud to have been a lifeguard at Braintree Reservoir. She later took up tennis, and eventually became an avid golfer, both at White Cliffs Country Club in Plymouth, MA, and at Jonathon’s Landing in Jupiter, FL. Family was of utmost importance to Angela. She was passionate and proud of her children and grandchildren. She supported their endeavors and education and loved to hear about their lives. In addition to raising her three children, she was an active participant in her community, thriving on planning and attending social events, participating in charities, and attending outings. She was an active participant in the garden club, social event planning, as well as book clubs, as an avid book-reader. She had a welcoming and kind personality, guided by her inherent sense of social etiquette, creating an expansive and far-reaching network of friends. Her address book practically memorized, her morning ritual for many years consisted of a cup of coffee and a series of phone calls to friends. She also had a passion for creativity and the arts. She enjoyed home decorating, leaving an indelible mark on the spaces she touched, as well as jewelry design. She had a flare for fashion and a sense of style – be it clothes, décor, or jewelry. She rarely turned down a shopping adventure. After retirement, she successfully took up drawing and painting, creating a plethora of beautiful works, resulting in several shows. Angela will also be remembered for her generosity – to family, friends, and causes she supported. She contributed to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and she served as the Breast Cancer Fundraising chair alongside her dear friend Helene Bogutz in Jupiter, FL. She and Helene organized annual breast cancer fundraisers at Jonathon’s Landing for many years. She later made contributions to the Helene Ross Bogutz Fund for Ovarian Cancer Early Detection, in Helene’s memory. Angela will be incredibly missed. She touched many people’s lives, with her endearing, warm, caring, and thoughtful spirit. She always looked on the positive side of things. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. A celebration of Angela’s life will take place on January 12, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Braintree, MA at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute at http://danafarber.jimmyfund.org/site/TR?team_id=26739&pg=team&fr_id=1200.
