Samuel P. Ingenere, 79, of Dedham formerly of Roslindale went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton after a brief illness. Sam was born in Boston and raised in Roslindale. He was a graduate of Boston College High School. Sam had been employed by the Raytheon Company and then he went on to work for his Uncle as Vice President of the Excelon/Westlon Uniform Company eventually taking over the business as President until his retirement. Sam was an avid Bruins and Red Sox fan. He is survived by his two daughters, Christine Cato married to Robert of Land O Lakes, FL and Michele Duncan married to Kelly of Woodbury, CT. He was the proud Grandfather of Triplets, Madison, Nathan and Mackenzie Cato and Connor Duncan. Sam was the son of the late Samuel and Santa A. Ingenere. Sam was also the cousin of the late Rosemarie B. Catalano, with whom he made his home, who passed away in October of 2017. Sam is also survived by Rosemarie’s children, Joseph A. Catalano, Tricia Pignatone and Andrea Carty and their children. Sam was known as a very loving man with a big heart. He will be missed. At Sam’s request all services were private and burial took place in the Ingenere family lot at Saint Michael’s Italian American Cemetery, Roslindale.
