Braintree- Ruth M. (Thorell) Fabiano-Weinstein passed away on Thursday September 14, 2017 at the Tremont Health Care in Wareham, after a period of failing health. Ruth was born in Brockton and was a graduate of Avon High School. Ruth married Benedict Fabiano and lived in Braintree for many years. She worked as a claims approver for John Hancock Life Ins. Company of Boston and Braintree. Ruth married Harry Weinstein after the death of her first husband in 1985. Ruth and Harry lived in Holbrook before moving back to Braintree in 2006. Ruth was an avid reader and piano player. She was totally devoted to her children and grandchildren. Her family was the most important aspect of her life. Ruth was the beloved wife of Benedict Fabiano who passed away in 1973 and Harry Weinstein who passed away in 2013. She was the devoted and loving mother of Benedict B. Fabiano of Midcoast, ME, Carol M. Fortier married to Edward of Braintree, Donna M. Damiano married to Michael of Wareham, and stepmother of Nancy D. Koehler married to David of Wisconsin. She is also the sister of the late Oscar H. Thorell, Arnold L. Thorell, Gertrude Kukauskas and Pearl Smith. She is the sister in law of Rachel Thorell of Lakeville and Helen Thorell of Florida, NY. She was the very devoted grandmother of 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home 516 Washington Street, Braintree, MA 02184 on Monday September 18th from 4-8PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday September 19th at 11 AM relatives and friends are cordially invited.  Burial will follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
