Welcome to the memorial page for

Rosemarie B. (Ingenere) Catalano

December 15, 1941 ~ October 16, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Rosemarie B. (Ingenere) Catalano, 75 Of Dedham, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 16, 2017. .  Rosemarie was born in Malden, and raised in Roslindale.  She was a graduate of Fontbonne Academy in Milton.  Rosemarie was the Executive Secretary for Ernie Clair, the late owner of Clair International Motors, for 35 years until her retirement in 2007.  Rosemarie’s life was full of family, food, and furry friends.  Those were the things that Rosemarie loved and lived for every day of her life.  She was happiest when surrounded by her four grandchildren and three children.  Rosemarie took absolute joy in cooking fantastic Italian meals and watching her family rave over the delectable creations that she so skillfully, but also, seemingly magically produced in her modest kitchen, in what seemed like no time at all.  Rosemarie’s home was always the go-to spot for family birthdays, anniversaries, showers, and holidays,  Many an Independence Day or Labor Day barbecue was held in the rain, cooking under a beach umbrella, and no one ever went home empty handed.  Rosemarie also loved all of her pets; from her childhood Dachshund to her many family dogs, and even a few cats.  She also supported many wildlife charities.  Rosemarie was also a devoted daughter and niece, taking her mother, aunt, and cousin into her own home in later years.  Rosemarie lived her life caring for, and about the people and animals that surrounded her and they will all miss her loving presence and support every day.  Rosemarie was the beloved wife of Joseph L. Catalano, who passed away in 1995.  She is the devoted and loving mother of Joseph A. Catalano of Randolph, Glenn A. Davis of Braintree, Patricia M. Pignatone of Attleboro, Mark Reeve of Bellingham, and Andrea R. Carty, married to William of North Attleboro.  Rosemarie is the proud Grammy of Joseph P. Pignatone, Peter A. Pignatone, Amanda R. Carty, and Michael A. Carty.  She was also cousin to Samuel P. Ingenere of Dedham. She is the niece of Gertrude “Trudy” Ingenere of Winchester.  She was the daughter of the late Peter and Marguerite (Pelleriti) Ingenere.  Visiting hours for Rosemarie will be held at the Mortimer N. Peck – Russel Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, Braintree, on Sunday, October 22nd, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.  There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Monday, October 23rd at 9:30am to be followed by a funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street (South Braintree Square) Braintree at 10:30am.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.  Rather than flowers, Rosemarie’s family sincerely requests that memorial donations may be sent to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, MSPCA, 55 Anna’s Place, Dedham, MA 02026.
