Robert E. Pitts

BRAINTREE - PITTS, Robert E., 63 years old, passed away surrounded by family, on Thursday, April 26th, 2018.  He was born December 3rd, 1954 to the late Doris (Frazier) Pitts and the late Eugene E. Pitts.  He graduated from the Blue Hills Regional Technical School and later from the Peterson School of Technology.  He worked most of his career for the United States Postal Service, in South Boston.  He had been married to his high school sweetheart, Adele (Ridlon) Pitts, for thirty-six years, who was a nurse in Boston.  He leaves behind his beloved sons, Ryan Pitts and his wife, Kristen Cushing-Pitts of Braintree and Matthew Pitts and his wife Shelly Pitts of Halifax, and his three beloved grandchildren.  He also leaves behind his two sisters, Doreen Cobb and her husband Bruce of Florida and Jeanene Pitts also of Florida.  He is survived by his mother-in-law, Alice Ridlon of Braintree as well as by many brother and sister’s in-laws, nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be at the Mortimer N. Peck- Russell Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington Street, BRAINTREE, on Tuesday, May 1st from 4:00-7:00 P.M. There will be a gathering at the funeral home on Wednesday May 2nd at 9:30 A.M. to be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington Street, Braintree at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, at 12 noon. Memorial donations may be sent to the Brian P. Sampson Scholarship Fund, 136 Peach Street South Braintree, MA 02184.
